Surgery instructions (Operating Room – General Anesthesia)

• Please be sure to arrive at the hospital two (2) hours before your scheduled surgery time
• Nothing by mouth (food or drink-including water, gum, candy) 12-hours prior to surgery. Please do not use illegal substances or alcohol prior to surgery.
• You must have an escort that remains with you and provides transportation. If you do not have someone, your surgery will be canceled.
• Please remove all body jewelry, nail polish and contact lenses. Leave all valuables at home as they may be unattended.
