Meet Dr. Aquino

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Aquino

Dr. Aquino is a Buffalo, New York native who attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate education before returning home to complete his doctorate in dentistry at the University at Buffalo. He then moved to Detroit, Michigan to complete medical school, general surgery internship, and residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. During his time in Detroit, he gained extensive experience with facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, head and neck pathology, along with dentoalveolar surgery. Dr. Aquino then traveled south to complete his Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery fellowship in El Paso, Texas at El Paso Children’s Hospital. He obtained experience treating children with all congenital or acquired cleft and craniofacial deformities under Dr. David Yates, Dr. Natash Fürchtgott, and Dr. Ziyad Makoshi. During his time along the southern border, he participated in a monthly cleft lip and palate mission to Juarez, Mexico where he was able to provide services to the underprivileged.  

Dr. Aquino is happy to be back in Western New York. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Bills, eating chicken wings, and hiking at national parks throughout the country.
